Showcasing the strategic and economic importance of the country and wider region for business aviation, the Paris Air Show gets underway today and runs until June 22.   Officially named the Salon International de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace, the airshow is held every two years at Le Bourget Airport (LFPB) and attracts over 300,000 visitors over seven days.   It will see thousands of OEMs, FBOs, MROs, industry associations and operators exhibit, make connections, and create partnerships, as well as feature developments in SAF, electric and hybrid aircraft systems, and AI.   Operators should be aware that restrictions apply for the duration of the show.

More disruptive events, whether caused by power failures, inclement weather, ATC issues, or geopolitical events, present major challenges for business aviation operators. The stakes are significantly higher because clients' satisfaction depends on them keeping tight schedules, delivering fast turnarounds, and ensuring seamless service. This is why strategic contingency planning is critical to maintaining streamlined operations. 

Fuel management is a massive pain point in business aviation since it represents one of the largest outgoing costs for operators, and the most unpredictable. Since pricing is dependent on a plethora of factors such as supply chain issues, geopolitical instability, and global economics, its volatility is an unfortunate reality that must be grappled with. However, although these factors are out of our control, there are several steps operators can take to ensure better fuel management, making forecasting and controlling costs easier.
