Shanghai Hongqiao closed to international BizAv operations: There are no international private jet operations allowed at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (ZSSS) since August 1 due to renovations of the airport’s FBO custom facilities.  According to the UAS China team, construction may continue for several months and there is yet no confirmed date when ZSSS can once again welcome international BizAv flights.

Operators reminded to avoid overflying Libya - Flights to Tripoli Mitiga airport (HLLM) are suspended after violent outbreaks and the reported seizure of a powerful armed faction commander by a rival force.  These clashes are reported to be the worst to hit the Libyan capital for months.  Currently, a mass evacuation of aircraft is underway and inbound flights are also diverting.   The situation highlights Libya's unstable security situation.

Niger airspace closed

The leaders of Niger’s military coup have closed the country’s airspace to avoid any military intervention from neighboring states. The coup began on July 26 with the attempted overthrow of Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum. Flights already in the air when the airspace closure was declared were either rerouted or diverted.
