China’s National Congress Affects Operations at Beijing ZBAA: Beijing Capital International Airport (ZBAA/PEK) will be closed to general aviation traffic until Wednesday, October 25.

The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) taking place in the city means all general aviation traffic not participating in the event won’t be able to access the airport.

Also, overnight parking will not be available until October 27.

Exceptions will be made for general aviation traffic landing or departing for emergency or diplomatic missions.

Operators should expect increased security forces at the airport and enhanced security measures at all international airports in China lasting to the end of the month.
