No overflight or landing permits are required for private flights
Non-scheduled commercial flights require landing but not overflight permits

Slots are allocated on a first come first served basis during peak times
To secure slots for General Aviation flights, it is advisable to book early
Immigration
EU Passengers
A passport or country ID is required, a visa is not required
Note:Ā Flights between the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man are treated as domestic flights, therefore are not subject to UK immigration control
Non- EU Passengers
A passport and visa are required
Note:Ā Flights between the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man are treated as domestic flights, therefore are not subject to UK immigration control.
For visitors who are visa exempt up to a maximum stay of six months, the period of stay will be determined by the immigration officer on arrival.
Visa exemptions:Ā A maximum stay of six months is allowed for several nationalities holding a printed Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW). The period of stay will be determined on arrival by an immigration officer.
The Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) issued must:
Be submitted online via https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ at least 48 hours but more than three months prior to travel
All details on the EVW must match the data on the passport
The itinerary on the EVW must match the details of the passengerās journey. The EVW is valid for up to eight hours after the original departure time provided passenger travels on the same route and arrives in the same city mentioned in the EVW
Non-EU Crew
A passport, visa and crew member ID card are required for operation crew. Deadheading crew members are subject to passenger restrictions.
Note:Ā Flights between the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man are treated as domestic flights, therefore are not subject to UK immigration control.
A visa is not required for aĀ maximum stay of seven days provided an individual is arriving and departing as Operational Crew.
CrewĀ members who are a visa required national, arriving as a passenger and departing as operational crew, or arriving as operational crew and departing as a passenger do not require a visa if all of the following applies to them:
They arrive by air
Theyāre able to confirm that they will depart, by air, before 23:59 the next day
They have the relevant General Declaration for the flight they are operating
They hold a passport and airline company ID
EU Crew
A passport and crew member ID card are required for operation crew. Deadheading crew membersĀ are subject to passenger restrictions.

Crew arriving as a passenger and departing as operational crew, or arriving as operational crew and departing as a passenger do not require a visa if they are a visa exempt national.
Customs
If youāre traveling from an EU country you can bring an unlimited amount of the majority of goods.

Currency: The local currency is the British Pound GBP.
You must declare cash of 10,000 Euro or more or the equivalent in another currency if youāre taking it between the UK and any non-EU country.

Taxis are widely available throughout the Greater London area
The drive from Luton to Paddington takes approximately 40 minutes
A public bus transfer from Luton to Paddington takes approximately one hour
Rail transport is available at London Paddington –Ā a central London railway terminus and the London Underground station complex
