UAS’ Regional Manager for East Africa, Fred Kiige, presents the Service Provider of the Year Award to the Director Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Samuel M. Macharia.

UAS is proud to support the work of the African Airlines Association by sponsoring three awards at the 5th Aviation Stakeholders Convention.

UAS’ Regional Manager for East Africa, Fred Kiige, joined the delegates and presented the  awards at the event organized by AFRAA in partnership with RwandAir.

The Airline Service Provider of the Year Award was presented to the Ethiopian Aviation Academy (EAA) for its world-class aviation training facilities, leadership, and continuous support to the development of African aviation.

Fred Kiige presents the Airline Service Provider of the Year Award to Tigist Terefe, Ag. Managing Director of the Ethiopian Aviation Academy.

The Service Provider of the Year Award was presented to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for its commitment to service excellence and the significant upgrading and modernization of facilities to international standards to meet increasing passenger and cargo traffic.

The Distinguished Service Award was presented to the Government of Rwanda for facilitating travel in an effort to stimulate aviation, trade, investment and tourism in Africa.

Fred Kiige, presents the Distinguished Service Award to Dr. Alexis Nzahabwanimana, State Minister of Transport, Government of Rwanda.

The award presentation took place during the gala dinner at the Serena Kigali Hotel in Rwanda on Monday.

“UAS is passionate about the development of business aviation on the continent of Africa and delighted to play its part in supporting and facilitating interactions between organizations and suppliers,” said Mr. Omar Hosari, UAS Co-Founder and CEO.
